Our Program is free

  • Program participation is voluntary and confidential
  • Your Early Intervention Worker will provide information about other services available to help you in your community
  • Your Early Intervention Worker may assist you in planning for your child's preschool years.
  • We provide support and information to families in their home/community and at playgroups.

Pediatric Weight Management services offer family-centered counseling and support for families interested in making positive lifestyle changes. Available for children aged 2-17 years above a healthy weight. A referral from a doctor or nurse practitioner is needed.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes

Come and learn specifics about breastfeeding and how to be prepared to breastfeed your baby after birth and within the first week and beyond.

Class is taught by a Certified Lactation Consultant from the Grande Prairie Breastfeeding Clinic.

Cost: Included in Prenatal Class fee or $25 if taken separately (If there is a financial hardship, feel free to speak with Public Health as the classes may be subsidized)

Dates: Classes offered every two months on Saturdays, 4-hour class
